Proudly South African Designs Celebrated


The Design Indaba Expo is an annual events that creates a platform for young, innovative and creative South African designers to showcase their work. The event is an all-in-one creative stop, acknowledging local creative work across all designs fields that exist in South African (there are no imitations, and no imports).

Local and international buyers consider the Design Indaba as one of their shopping destinations, creating a platform for productive trade relationships. On the Design Indaba Expo floor one can catch all-day fashion shows, chat to the designers or simply browse the wonderful creations on display. Design Indaba Expo is in collaboration with Design Indaba Conference, which adds up in a week of creative stimulation.

Besides from the Design Indaba Expo being the most recorgnisable design event in South Africa, it is the perfect opportunity to expand one's network with clients and buyers, creative stimulation and be part of a high-quality design innovation.






Here are a few of the exihibitors at the expo:

Morphosis Design Studio is a multidiciplinary design firm specializing in landscape architecture, furniture design and graphic design. Based in their studio in Pretoria and manufacturers in Cape Town they produce small quantities of finely made furniture using solid woods and traditional cabinet making techniques. They are a South African design company focused on quality products, innovative design and a simple aesthetic.




Marieke specializes in handprinted textiles. The, Bluebottle Chair, printed pattern comes to life in 3D forms of felt, linen and wool. This is truely a unique piece!
